Baumeister has developed a range of innovative barrier products for food packaging. The following barrier properties can be supplied:

• Mineral oil barrier (MOSH/MOAH)
• Grease and oil barrier
• Flavoring agent barrier

The products feature the following properties:

• Low permeability even at very low coat weights
• High elasticity, therefore virtually no loss of barrier properties after folding
• Low blocking tendency
• Heat sealable at temperatures around 140°C
• High dry solids content
• Compatible with all common paper coating pigments
• Can be used with all common coating systems

Baumeister has developed a latent reactive dispersion adhesive based on a semicrystalline polyurethane dispersion combined with a finely ground solid isocyanate. The adhesive is particularly suitable for laminating temperature sensitive materials such as leather to textiles or foams.
The adhesive system features the following properties:

• Lamination temperatures of 80 to 85°C.
• High adhesive strength.
• Thermal stability to min. 110°C.
• Full reactivity of the adhesive layer for at least six months provided the material has been stored at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
